Cascade Institute research associate Kathy Matos is guiding an EV feasibility study for the City of Victoria

Kathy Matos

Kathy Matos, a research associate at the Cascade Institute and Royal Roads University Master of Arts in Environment and Management student, is leading a survey to learn what City of Victoria residents like when it comes to electric cars and the places where you can charge them. RRU president Philip Steenkamp spoke with Kathy—and her supervisor, RRU associate professor Runa Das—about the project.  In the City of Victoria, where vehicles contribute 40 per cent of all emissions, the project has the potential to make a big impact.

If you’re a City of Victoria resident, please weigh in. The survey is open until November 30. We’re excited to learn and share the results, which will also inform Kathy’s graduate research.
